National Lumber had the pleasure of taking part in the 33rd annual Festival of Trees, hosted by the Kennedy Krieger Institute at the Maryland State Fairgrounds. The Festival of Trees is a fundraising charity event that benefits the over 25,000 children who are currently patients at the Kenndy Krieger Institute. After a several-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Festival of Trees finally made its much-anticipated return this year on Thanksgiving weekend, November 25th to the 27th.
The festival featured a wide variety of skilled artisan vendors, holiday-themed entertainment, a silent auction, and a beautiful array of designer-decorated trees, wreaths, and gingerbread houses that were on display and for sale. National Lumber was able to purchase one of these beautiful Christmas trees and currently has it on display in our office. This event is perfect to usher in the Christmas season and has fun and entertainment for the entire family.

The designer-decorated tree that National Lumber had the honor of purchasing was themed “Christmas For Crabs”. Decorated in true Maryland fashion, the tree features a beautiful array of crab-shaped ornaments, Maryland Flag colors, and an overall homage to our lovely, crab-fueled state. Our team was delighted to welcome the holidays with such an amazing piece of art in our office.
We admire and wholeheartedly support the efforts that the Kennedy Krieger Institute instills in caring for its patients. This fundraiser allocates its proceeds to providing care for the over 25,000 children in their care. National Lumber is committed to assisting charitable work and recognizes the Kennedy Krieger Institute as an organization that helps countless children every year. We are thrilled to be able to take part in this year’s event and are eager to continue our charity work.
We look forward to next year’s Festival of Trees and hope to see you there! Not only is it an exciting and festive event, but it truly helps to fund the Kennedy Krieger Institute. From everyone at National Lumber, we hope you have a fantastic holiday season and a wonderful New Year!
